Going back to Apocalypto, I do remember leaving that theatre telling myself wow, "Maybe colonisation wasn't such a bad thing I mean look how savage these Mayans were to each other" (and I'm Black). Since then have yet to read a book on the subject to confirm the opposite. Was that Gibson's intention?
